April 25, 2026

PITMAN, N.J. — The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Men's Volleyball All-Conference selections on April 24, recognizing three standouts from New Jersey City University for their performances during a historic season. Juniors Marcus Pardasie (Paramus, N.J./Cresskill) and Amaru Perales (Harrison, N.J./Harrison) were both named to the All-Conference First Team, while senior Alex Casais (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) earned honorable mention recognition.

Pardasie continued to establish himself as one of the conference's premier players, earning his third consecutive First Team selection. The junior outside hitter paced NJCU in several major statistical categories, finishing with a team-high 279 kills while adding 169 digs and 15 service aces. On the conference leaderboard, Pardasie ranked fourth in kills per set (3.28) and points per set (3.58), sixth in digs per set (1.99), and eighth in hitting percentage (.245). His consistent production also led to multiple honors throughout the season, including two NJAC Player of the Week awards and three CUNYAC Player of the Week selections. He was additionally named to the All-CUNYAC First Team and earned a spot on the NCAA All-Regional Team.

Perales emerged as a key contributor in his junior campaign after being limited by injury the previous season. The Harrison, New Jersey, native delivered one of the most efficient offensive seasons in the conference, posting a .367 hitting percentage, the highest mark in the NJAC. He led the Gothic Knights with 21 service aces and 77 total blocks, while also recording 196 kills. Perales ranked third in the conference in blocks per set (0.93), sixth in aces per set (0.25), and seventh in both kills per set (2.36) and points per set (3.17). His all-around impact earned him NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as well as recognition from the CUNYAC, culminating in an All-CUNYAC First Team selection.

Casais, meanwhile, capped his collegiate career with another strong all-around season, earning honorable mention recognition for the second consecutive year. The senior setter led NJCU with 915 assists and matched for the team lead with 77 blocks, while also contributing 157 digs and 11 service aces. Among conference leaders, Casais ranked second in assists per set (9.43) and fifth in blocks per set (0.79), highlighting his versatility on both ends of the court. He was also named to the All-CUNYAC First Team and played a pivotal role in NJCU's postseason success, earning Most Valuable Player honors at the CUNYAC Championship.

NJCU concluded the 2026 season with a 20-10 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 mark in CUNYAC play and a 1-2 record against NJAC opponents. In its first season competing in the CUNYAC, the program captured the conference championship and secured an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Gothic Knights were defeated by Buffalo State in a tightly contested five-set play-in match.

The season marked NJCU's third consecutive 20-win campaign and the 11th in the program's 37-year history. It also represented the program's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
