NEW ORLEANS, LA. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honorees on Tuesday, May 19, as three members of the New Jersey City University outdoor track & field program combined for six All-Metro Region selections to cap a standout spring season for the Gothic Knights. The six selections are the most in program history, dating back to the 2016 outdoor season.
The All-Region honors are awarded annually to the top-eight performers in each event from every region based on the final year-end Athletic.net descending order lists. NJCU's six selections marked a significant jump for the program after the Gothic Knights were shut out of the regional honors during the 2025 outdoor campaign.
Leading the way on the men's side was senior sprinter Pratt Charles (Jersey City, N.J./University Charter), who earned All-Metro Region recognition in the 400-meter dash. Charles finished the season ranked second in the region after posting a personal-best time of 47.43 seconds at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 2, where he also won gold.
On the women's side, Reyanna Henderson (Pemberton, N.J./Pemberton Two) secured a pair of All-Region honors after excelling in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes throughout the spring. Henderson ranked fourth in the Metro Region in the 200m with a season-best gold-finish 24.75 seconds, also achieved at the NJAC Championships on May 2. She added another top-three regional finish in the 400m, clocking a 56.43 at the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championships on May 13 to finish third overall in the region. Her 400-meter mark stood as the top time recorded by a runner from the New Jersey Athletic Conference during the outdoor season.
Field standout Tonna Ogina (North Brunswick, N.J./Highland Park) delivered one of the most decorated seasons in recent program history, earning All-Region distinction in all three of her events — high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Ogina paced the entire Metro Region in the high jump after clearing 1.73 meters at the Ramapo College Invitational on March 28, a mark that also qualified her for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. In the triple jump, Ogina ranked fourth in the region and first among NJAC competitors with a leap of 11.51 meters at the TCNJ Invitational on April 11. She also secured an eighth-place regional ranking in the long jump after recording a mark of 5.39 meters at the New Captains Classic on April 18.
