PITMAN, N.J. — The New Jersey Athletic Conference recognized New Jersey City University sophomore Kiara Taylor (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) with All-Conference Honorable Mention honors following a standout 2026 campaign.

A native of Berlin, Maryland, Taylor emerged as one of NJCU's top contributors in her second season after transferring from Keystone College. The versatile utility player started 27 of 28 games, leading the team with a .418 batting average on 23 hits, while adding seven RBIs and seven runs scored.

Taylor, who saw action across multiple positions but primarily on the right side of the field, also posted a team-best .508 on-base percentage and a .418 slugging percentage, the latter ranking second on the squad.

Among conference leaders, Taylor finished third in hit-by-pitches (8), fifth in on-base percentage (.508), and eighth in batting average (.418), solidifying her place among the NJAC's top offensive performers.

The honor marks the first collegiate accolade of Taylor's career.
