    Alvarez on Steinberger:
“Diego” is one of our 3 kids from California this year. An All-League Selection for Coach Sean Tucker at San Diego HS, he is a true freshman.  Joe will either being making starts for us this year at 1st, LF, or DH.  This kid has some strong legs that produce gap to gap power in his bat and a great mind for the game.  You can not go wrong having this kid in your lineup and we look for him to be a four year contributor for us.  Joe is also here on academic scholarship."
