2009 Highlights: (01/22 vs. Lehman College): Inched closer to 1,000 career kills by posting a match best 13, finishing with a line of 13-3-23 for a .435 hitting percentage, increasing his career kill total to 995...With five more winners he will become the fifth player in program history to register 1,000 career kills...He also added eight digs...(1/27 vs. Baruch College): Became the fifth player in NJCU history to record 1,000 career kills, smacking six to make his career total 1,001 in just over three seasons...(1/29 vs. Brooklyn College): Was errorless in nine attempts, finishing with a .778 percentage and seven kills, with a line of 7-0-9 in just two games, increasing his career kills total to 1,008...(1/30 vs. CCNY): Tallied 10 kills and a .562 attack percentage...He hit above .550 for the second straight match finishing with only one error on 16 attempts, giving him 1,018 career kills...He added eight digs and three aces...(2/3): Is ranked seventh nationally in hitting percentage at .418... (2/4 at York College): Tallied nine kills (9-4-16, .312) and added eight digs and two blocks...He now has 1,027 career kills on 2,494 career attempts...(2/7 vs. Stevenson at the Gothic Knight Men's Volleyball Invitational): Floored six winners (6-2-15, .267)...(2/7 vs. SUNY New Paltz at the Gothic Knight Men's Volleyball Invitational): Finished with14 digs, eight kills and three blocks (two solo) to increase his career kills mark to 1,044...(2/9 at College of Mount Saint Vincent):  Slammed 10 kills (10-2-27, .296) and added 12 digs and three blocks, increasing his career kills total to 1,054...It was his 26th career double-double...(2/11 at Polytechnic University): Slammed 14 kills and hit .440 overall with a line of 14-3-25...Now has 1,068 career kills and is just behind Jason Payman (1995-97; 1,075 kills) and Christopher Feliciano (1999-00, 02-03; 1,082 kills) on the all-time 1,000-kill club in the 20-year history of the program...He will likely move past both players into third place in school history over the weekend...(2/14 vs. Emmanuel College at the Endicott College Invitational): Pounded out 36 kills to set a NJCU record for the most in the rally scoring-era while tying a 13-year old school mark for the most kills in a match of any length, and his record-setting performance allowed the Gothic Knights to pick up what may prove to be an important victory later this year when play-off berths are decided...This is his second career 30-kill accomplishment...Hit .347 with a line of 36-10-75, also defended 11 digs and four blocks...He posted his 27th career double-double...He moved into third place in school history with 1,111 kills...(2/21 vs. Hilbert College at Stevenson University Tri-Match): Came off the bench to provide 11 kills (11-6-23, .217), three blocks and two aces....(2/21 at Stevenson University): Provided another 11 kills (11-9-35, .057), increasing his career kills total to 1,157...(2/27 at SUNY New Paltz): Tallied 18 digs...(3/5 at Hunter College): Collected his 28th career double-double and his 225th career block, as he tallied 16 kills (16-6-37), hit .270, and aided the defense with 17 digs and four blocks...He increased his career kills total to 1,179 and needs 56 more for second place in school history...(3/6 vs. Lancaster Bible College): Added six kills to his career mark of 1,185...(3/8 at Yeshiva University): Increased his career kills total to 1,195 with seven winners and one error in 14 attacks for a .429 percentage, while adding four digs and three aces...Now with 937 career digs he is six shy of fifth place in school history as he vies to become only the second 1,000-kill and 1,000 dig player at NJCU...(3/19 vs. SUNY New Paltz): Collected eight kills (8-5-29, .103), nine digs and seven blocks (two solo, five assisted)...(3/23 vs. Stevens): Provided six kills, five digs and two blocks...Now with 1,266 career kills- second in school history- he moved into third place in program history in digs with 1,007, and is one of only two players in school history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs...(4/8 at Ramapo College): Increased his career kills total to 1,277 with a line of 10-7-30...(4/11 vs. Stevenson University): Smacked 20 kills (20-10-59, .169), adding 18 digs and two blocks...It was his 31st career double-double and sixth of the season and his eighth career 20-kill match...(4/15): Voted to the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Metro Division Second-Team...Was a First-Team All-Metro selection in 2008 as a middle hitter, moved back to his natural position as an outside in 2009 and finished the season with 369.5 points, 315 kills, 228 digs, 63 blocks, 17 aces and 17 assists, while posting a .226 attack percentage (315-132-811) in 105 sets over 32 matches...He averaged 3.52 points, 3.00 kills, 2.17 digs and 0.60 blocks per set...He ranked 45th in the nation in digs, 55th in kills and 78th in hitting percentage...Was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Endicott College Invitational on February 15 for his play...

2008 Highlights: (01/22 at Baruch College): Had a team-high 14 kills (14-13-41) and two blocks in his first collegiate match in the middle, moving over from an outside hitter role the previous two seasons...(01/24 at Lehman College): Chalked up 17 kills (17-13-48), 17 digs, four aces and two blocks... (01/26 vs Villa Julie College): Delivered 19 kills (19-5-49), a .286 attack rate, nine digs and five blocks... (01/26 vs. Brooklyn College): Bagged 11 kills and hit .292 (11-4-24) with eight digs and five assisted blocks.  (02/05 vs. SUNY Purchase): Finished with the 19th double-double of his career and second of the season, defending a career-best 20 digs, while notching 15 or more kills in a match for the third time in six contests this year. He hit .130 (18-12-46), with two blocks... (02/07 at City College of New York): Finished with career highs of 32 kills (32-21-71, .155) and 22 digs and added three blocks and did not make a reception error in 26 attempts. He was dominant in the fifth game, hitting .714 with six kills (6-1-7). He had eight kills in game one, seven in game two, six in game three and five in game four. It is the first 30-kill performance by an NJCU player since the rally scoring era began in 2001. Also, he finished with the 20th double-double of his career and third of the season, notching 15 or more kills in a match for the fourth time in seven contests this year... (02/09 Gothic Knight Invitational): Named to the All-Tournament Team for the Knights... (02/09 vs. Villa Julie College): Finished with the 21st double-double of his career and fourth of the season, notching 15 or more kills in a match for the fifth time in eight contests this year... (02/09 vs. Southern Vermont College): (02/09 vs. Villa Julie College): Played only in the first game, yet hit .571 with five kills (5-1-7)... (02/09 vs. Newbury College; Finals): Registered nine digs and eight kills... (2/14 vs. SUNY-New Paltz): Tallied 12 digs, eight kills and four blocks... (02/17 vs. SUNY New Paltz): Registered a team-high 11 kills... (02/17 vs. Emmanuel College): Tied for the second most total blocks in program history during a four-game match, as the tri-captain nearly had a triple-double, stuffing 12 total rejections (nine assisted), while adding a match-best 16 digs with seven kills... (02/19 vs. Polytechnic University): Had a scorching .625 attack rate, with six kills (6-1-8) and six assisted blocks... (02/27 at Mount St. Vincent): Registered his 23rd career double-double and sixth of the year with a team-high 16 digs, 11 kills (11-7-39) and six blocks... (03/04 vs. Lancaster Bible College): Posted his 24th career double-double and his seventh of the season, collecting team highs of 16 kills (16-10-45, .133) and 12 digs, and a match-best eight blocks (seven assisted)... (03/06 vs. Hunter College): Smacked a match-high 15 kills (15-5-41), hit .244 and landed two aces... (03/08 vs. #4 Vassar College): Registered nine kills (9-6-39) and seven digs...(04/02): Has been selected to the First-Team All North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Metro Division in voting by the division’s 10 head coaches. It is the first time in his career he has been named to the NECVA All-Metro team. He was one of two middle hitters selected to the first team, tying for first place in the voting. Rodgers was NJCU’s top all-around offensive and defensive player, leading the team in 11 categories. Overall, in 28 matches and 101 games played, he led the team in kills (361), kills per game (3.57), total attacks (991), digs (271), digs per game (2.68), solo blocks (23), assisted blocks (68), total blocks (91), blocks per game (0.90), total points (436.0) and points per game (4.32). He posted a .166 hitting percentage (361-196-991), which was third on the team. He chipped in 30 assists (0.30/game) and 18 service aces (0.18/game). He also was NJCU’s primary passer, with a team-high 578 serve receptions, but only 19 reception errors, for a team-best .967 percentage. He was selected to two All-Tournament Teams during the season, earning the distinction at the 14th annual Gothic Knight Invitational on February 9 and the 4th annual York College Invitational on March 15. He finished the season with 983 career kills, fifth in program history, and is on pace to finish second on the all-time list. He posted eight double-doubles this season, giving him 25 for his three-year career...

2007  Highlights: (01/25 vs. Baruch College):  Registered 16 kills, nine digs and four blocks  finishing with a hitting percentage of .324 (16-4-37)...(01/27 at Vassar College): Added nine kills and six digs...(01/27 at Vassar College vs. Polytechnic University): Had a double-double hitting .458 with 14 kills (14-3-24), nine digs and two solol blocks...(01/30 vs. Bard College): Registered his sixth career double-double.  He posted a season-high with a match-best 18 winners, and had only three errors in 32 attempts for a .469 hitting percentage. He added 10 digs, three blocks, and two service aces... (01/31 at SUNY- New Paltz): The only player in double figures in kills with 13, along with nine digs...(02/02 at College of Mount St. Vincent): Collected nine kills and two digs...(02/04 at Bard College): Recorded his second 20-kill match of his career, notching 20 (20-9-51, .216) and 17 digs... (02/09 at City College of New York): Continued to lead NJCU offensively, as he provided 13 kills (13-5-22) and a .364 percentage...(02/13 vs. Stevens Institute of Technology): Registered seven kills and four blocks...(02/19 vs. Newbury College; Gothic Knights Invitational): Planted 20 kills (20-9-39, .282) and 15 digs. It was the first time that two teammates reached 20 kills in a match since Feliciano and Luis Alvarado did against United States Merchant Marine Academy on February 23, 2003....(02/19 vs. Elms College; Gothic Knights Invitational): had 13 kills, seven digs and three blocks...(02/19 vs. City College of New York; Gothic Knights Invitational): Collected 19 digs and 11 kills...(02/20 at Polytechnic University): Landed 12 kills (12-1-20) for a .550 clip, adding nine digs and two blocks...(02/22 at Ramapo College): Hit .444 overall with a match-high 16 kills (16-4-27). He needs 21 more kills for 500 in his career...
