Saint Vincent...(04/11 vs. Lehman College): During the seventh NJCU tacked on two runs including a bases loaded walk by DelFino to make it 11-6.  He contributed to the win at bat as he finished 2-for-4.  In addition, he had his first career save by thwarting a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the ninth by recording the final out to steel the game away 12-7...(04/21 vs. Ramapo College): Freshman shortstop scored twice both on Ramapo errors, once to tie the game in fifth at 5-5.  In the eighth, DelFino struck out swinging, but reached first safely when the catcher could not hold onto the ball.  This brought up Corey Schanel who lifted a go-ahead triple to right center for a 6-5 win over Ramapo...(04/27 vs. Montclair State University): Put NJCU in front by a RBI single 2-1.  Later he tried to advance on a wild pitch, and would have scored if not for a diving tag by Montclair fielder...(04/29 vs. Rowan University):  Freshman shortstop was 2-4 and had both Gothic Knight RBIs with a two-run single in the eighth against Rowan...(05/18): Named to the All-Rookie Team 2006; During the season he had several key game-winning hits in the 36 games (29 starts), he batted .250 (29-116) with 21 RBIs, 13 runs, four doubles, three triples and one homerun.  He collected 42 total bases, and added a .362 slugging and .287 on-base percentage.  He also collected six steals in six tries.  For 2006 he led the club in sacrifice bunts (5), ranked third in triples, tied for third in homers, and fourth in RBIs.  Additionally, he posted a 4.15 ERA as a relief pitcher with one save.  DelFino opened the season at third base but later moved to shortstop, there he only had eight errors in 17 games. He batted .333 in 19 games at third and .177 in 17 games at shortstop, but while his offense dropped with the position change, his defensive ability proved more valuable for the Knights in the second half of the season...
