2021: Appeared in three matches as a junior for the Gothic Knights in the abbreviated season … made his season-debut with one assist in a set played vs. Kean (2/21) … notched three kills on three swings in the win at Yeshiva (3/7) … finished with a career-best six kills on 10 swings with two errors (.400 hitting percentage) to go with a dig in the win over Sarah Lawrence (4/10).

2020: Saw action in eight of 16 matches as a sophomore in the shortened season, making one start … finished third on the team in assists (35) and assists/set (2.50) … notched a season-high three aces and a pair of digs in the three-set win over Cairn (1/28) … finished with a career-best 34 helpers to go with a career-high nine digs and an ace in the three-set win over Neumann (2/22).

2019: Appeared in 24 of 25 matches as a rookie, making five starts as a setter for NJCU … finished second on the team in assists (256) and assists/set (3.61) … was fourth in aces (20) and aces/set (0.28) … made his collegiate debut with two sets played, including five assists and one dig in the win at Bard (1/30) … notched a season-high five digs to fo with 13 assists and two aces in the five-set loss at Keuka (3/2) … dished out a season-high 21 assists to go with a career-high four aces in the four-set win at York-NY (3/22) … tied his career high with four aces, adding 10 helpers and a dig in the three-set win at St. Elizabeth (3/23).

High School: A 2018 graduate of Kearny High School … four-year volleyball team member, including three years on varsity … team captain … first-team all-county … also played one year of varsity soccer.

Personal: Son of Kattya Zapata and Christian Mantilla … has one sister, Daniela … pursuing a career in business development.
