Overall in five games, she had a 193.0 average and 965 pinfall (238, 138, 235, 188, 166), going 2-3 in head-to-head action... (11/21 at Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Classic): The only other NJCU player to bowl all six individual games, was 17th overall in total pinfall at 1139 (193-172-182-246-178-168), for a 189.83 average. Her high game of 246 against Coppin was the top score for any NJCU kegler in the tournament... (12/04 at St. Paul's College Tournament): Bowled five games for an 853 total (170.60), with a 202 high, and five other NJCU keglers split time, rolling two or three games each... (12/27 at FDU Holiday Jamboree): Ranks 22nd overall with an 890 total and 178.0 average (157, 223, 177, 142, 191)... (12/28 at FDU Holiday Jamboree): Climbed from 22nd place to 12th in the final standings with a 10-game count of 1,884 (188.4 average). She had a 198.8 average on Friday and 994 pinfall (181-173-204-215-221). She was NJCU’s only other bowler to compete in all 10 games in the tournament... (01/19; North East Women’s Collegiate Bowling Conference Event #3): Bowled four NCAA games for a 728 (194-168-175-191) pinfall (182.00 average), going 1-3 in the scout position... (01/22; North East Women’s Collegiate Bowling Conference Event #4): In five games, she had a 923 pinfall (172-181-162-174-234) for a 184.6 average. She was seventh overall in pinfall during the NEWCBC event...(01/27 at Bowie State University Invitational): Finished eighth overall with total wood of 1,233 (213-200-205-215-178-222), reaching 200 or better a team-best five times. Her 205.50 average was 11th best in the tournament... She was in 12th place after game two and eighth place after three, before tossing a 256 in her final game—the highest score of the 298 total games bowled in the singles tournament... (03/15 at Columbia 300 Music City Classic): Placed third among NJCU keglers with a 1,093 pinfall (171-171-245-146-183-177) for a 182.17 average and had the highest game among NJCU competitors with the 245 against Mankato... (04/10 at 2008 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championships): Placed fourth as she registered a four-game total of 822 (217-214-211-180) for a 205.50 average and placed in the top five in a tournament for the first time this year.
2006-07 Highlights: 2006-07 NTCA Division III Co-Rookie of the Year...(10/30): Named NJCU Female Athlete of the Week... (11/01; North East Women’s Bowling Conference Event #1): Made a lasting first impression with a 235.0 NCAA average and a 224.75 overall clip in her collegiate debut as she posted a five-game pinfall of 1175 and a 235.0 average. Her scores were progressively better as the day moved along, and she finished the event with games of 254 and 268 to complete a 740 series. She went 5-0 in head-to-head action...(11/05; North East Women’s Collegiate Bowling Conference Event #2): Recorded another victory in an NCAA matche, and after five wins last week, is 5-3 overall. In seven games on Saturday, her total wood was 1251 for a 178.714 average. She posted a 709 clip in the NCAA competition (177.25), and had a 542 singles series (180.666), earning one point for the Lady Gothic Knights...(11/27; Jeannette Lee Invitational): Placed 16th overall while bowling four of five games for a 733 pinfall (183.25 average), with a high of 211... (12/28; Holiday Jamboree): Placed 29th with a 1790 pinfall out of the 93 contestants... (12/28): Voted to the inaugural National Tenpin Coaches Association North East Region Honor Rolls for their excellent bowling performances over the first six weeks of the 2006-07 season. Additionally, she tabbed to the NTCA North East Region Rookie Bowler of the Month Honor Roll. For the season, she is the team leader in 250 games with two, and is second among NJCU bowlers in games played (23), total pinfall (4455), 200 games (8), 225 games (3) and high game (268). She ranks third in individual average at 193.696...(01/22; North East Women’s Collegiate Bowling Conference Event #3): Tallied a 1097 pinfall in six total games, including a 565 series (188.33 average) in three NCAA games. She went 2-1 head-to-head, increasing her record to 8-4 overall. Her 254 against Adelphi was her third game of at least 250 this season...(02/04; Mid-Winter Classic): Bowled the final three games, tallying a 507 series (169-147-191; 169.00), ranking 82nd in standings determined by pinfall...(03/10 at Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships vs. Sacred Heart University): Converted strikes on her first 10 balls before leaving the six pin and finishing with a team season-high 289—the second highest score in NJCU program history. She finished second overall among 58 keglers with a five-game pinfall of 1171 (215-240-224-289-203)—a mere one pin shy of first place as she averaged 234.2... (03/12): Named New Jersey City University Female Athlete of the Week... (04/01 at North East Women’s Collegiate Bowling Conference Singles Championship): One of the top 32 keglers based solely on average per game qualified league’s singles championship. There she had a total count of 1947 to place 14th. Her total wood was 1847 in nine games (257-235-177-204//172-189-199-264-150) for a 205.22 average, and earned 100 bonus pins. Marmo had a shot at a perfect 300 in her eighth game, before finishing with a 264 after opening with nine strikes...(04/13 at National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship): Placed 20th at 837 (179-200-212-246; 209.25).
High School: A June 22, 2006 graduate of North Babylon High School in North Babylon, NY…Bowled six years for the Bulldogs in junior high and high school for Coach Jeff Myers…NBHS did not have a girls’ team, so Marmo bowled on the boys team and served as captain for three years as a sophomore, junior and senior…Earned Second-Team All-Suffolk County in boys bowling…Had a 215 average and rolled five perfect 300 games…The first person to ever bowl a 300 game during school competition…High series of 774…Her five 300 games are currently tied for fifth in United States female youth bowler history by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC)….Had a 210.139 average as a junior…Was ineligible to compete for the All-Section XI girls bowling title or the state championship because she bowled for a boys team—despite her high school not having a girls team…Her regular season average in all four years of high school would have qualified her for the all-section girls team…As a senior, finished ranked 14th among Suffolk boys and won 17 of 36 games, losing one despite bowling a 277… Teamed with two others to win the Open Division Women’s Trip gold medal on July 29, 2004….Competed in the Junior Nationals three times and traveled to Australia and New Zealand to bowl in international competition as an ambassador of the sport…Listed 213th of 430 at 2005 USA Junior Gold Tournament…
