The New Jersey City University department of athletics is proud to announce its updated membership policy for the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (JMAC). Memberships are now available for all NJCU faculty, staff, alumni and first responders.
Community memberships are also now available.
Memberships are offered on an annual (12-month) basis, beginning September 1, 2023, for $175.00 to all NJCU faculty, staff, alumni and first responders.

- Term 2: September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025
Memberships are offered on an bi-annual (6-month) basis, beginning September 1, 2023, for $175.00 to all Jersey City/Hudson County community members.

- Term 2: March 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024
- Term 3: September 1, 2024 - February 28, 2025
- Term 4: March 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025
Important Information:
- There will be a limit of 100 "ACTIVE" memberships available for faculty, staff, alumni and first responders
- Any members after that point (101+) will be placed on a waiting list
- Payment can ONLY be made IN PERSON at Card Services, located in Hepburn Hall

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center at NJCU has been completely renovated; we have added four power racks with weightlifting platforms, two Keiser Infinity series Functional Trainers and one Keiser Pro-Squat machine. We have also added an entire line of Life Fitness (Hammer Strength, Cybex) functional training equipment, including four HS/LF Adjustable pulley systems, HS push/pull combo, HS GB Jammer, HS GB dead lift/squat, HS Glute Ham Raise and Cybex Lat/Row. In addition, new cardiovascular equipment includes two Stair Master Gaunlets, two Precor bikes, one Jacobs Ladder, one LF Total Arc Trainer and one Precor AMT. Furthermore, we acquired new Precor leg curl and leg press machines. Lastly, we replaced all free weights including dumbbells, barbells, plates and benches, and added new weightlifting bars and gadgets. We are also in the process of ordering new lobby lockers where you can store your personal belongings or valuables.

- The NJCU Aquatic Center has been completely renovated.
- A new non-slip surface along with new drainage surrounds our six-lane, 25-yard pool.
- Six new branded Starting Platforms are now anchoring one end.
- New LED light fixtures now brighten our pool area.
- A new sauna has been installed.
- May be restricted to use via a sign-up schedule
- Indoor Air Quality has been addressed with a state-of-the-art HVAC and dehumidifying system.
- A Fabric Air Dispersion System HVAC Duct with NJCU logos has been installed.
- A new High Rate Sand Filtration system and UV Generator system have been installed.
- Top-of-the-line automated Chemical Controller has been installed.
- The entire interior pool shell was inspected, water blasted, re-grouted, resealed, caulked and cleaned.
- Branded Logos and updated graphics are now featured throughout the pool area to enhance the experience at the NJCU Aquatic Center.
