2019-20 Shawn Tucker headshot

Dear NJCU Community:

Governor Phil Murphy and the New Jersey Department of Health has released guidance for the reopening of gyms, including indoor athletic fitness centers. The NJCU Department of Athletics and Recreation (JMAC) has proactively started the process of reviewing the state guidelines and preparing the John J. Moore Athletic Center to safely welcome back our students, faculty and staff.

A few major points of emphasis in the reopening guidance are the required maximum occupancy per designated area of 25%. All fitness equipment must be spaced out at least six (6) feet apart and all patrons must wear a mask or face covering inside the facility.
