  • In 2017-18, Toney produced five efforts of 30+ points, including a career-high 42 points in a last-second loss at Ramapo on January 13. The 42 points are a school record for a road game, the fourth most ever scored in any game in the 85-year history of the program and the highest tally in any game since February 1981
  • Fifth NJCU player named NJAC Player of the Year and the first since 2003-04.
  • After being out of school since graduating high school in 2010, Toney earned a 3.222 GPA for the 2017-18 year.
  • 2-year team captain (2017-18, 2018-19); first sophomore to serve as NJCU captain since 1977-78 season.

  • Scored 25 or more 7 times.

2016-17 Season Highlights:
  • 11/19 vs Spalding at St. Mary's: Produced his first career double-digit scoring and rebounding performances with 12 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 25 minutes.
  • 11/22 vs Rutgers-Newark: Finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in 22 minutes.
  • 11/26 vs Staten Island: Scored 17 points in 20 minutes, knocking down 5-of-6 threes and 5-of-8 total shots with six rebounds.
  • 11/30 at William Paterson: Buried 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes
  • 12/3 vs Rutgers-Camden: Connected on 7-of-9 shots (3-5 3FG) and generated 17 points in just 20 minutes of action.
  • 12/7 at Kean: Scored 15 points in just 16 minutes in the first half
  • 12/10 vs TCNJ: Finished with seven rebounds, six points and three blocks
  • 12/17 vs Albertus Magnus: Led the Gothic Knights with 15 points (5-9 FG), nine rebounds, and two blocks in 22 minutes
  • 12/29 vs Gettysburg at Albright: Scored eight points including the game-winning three pointer
  • 12/30 vs Misericordia at Albright: Finished with 11 points (2-4 3FG) and four assists
  • 1/9 vs Rowan: Scored 12 of NJCU's first 16 points and finished with career highs of 20 points (6-14 FG), including 3-of-6 three-point shooting and 5-of-5 foul shooting, while adding 11 rebounds (10 defensive) and two assists in only 23 minutes

  • 1/18 at Rutgers-Newark: Added eight points (3-7 FG, 2-2 3FG)
  • 1/21 at Rutgers-Camden: Scored 11 points (3-7 FG), including 4-of-4 from the line, and added eight rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
  • 1/25 vs William Paterson: Produced a game-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting (5-7 FT) with seven rebounds in 23 minutes
  • 1/28 at TCNJ: Had 18 points (8-14 FG) and five rebounds
  • 2/11 at Ramapo: Scored all 10 of his points in the second half (4-9 FG)
  • 2/15 vs Stockton: Buried nine points (3-6 FG), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 19 minutes
  • 2/18 vs Stockton (NJAC Quarterfinals Game): Chalked up a career-high 24 points, including 16 in the second half (10-16 FG)
  • 2/21 at TCNJ (NJAC Semifinals Game): Notched a tdouble-double with 18 points (7-15 FG), 11 rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes
  • 2/24 at Ramapo (NJAC Finals Game): Scored 16 points (6-11 FG) and five rebounds in 25 minutes
  • 3/3 vs Skidmore at Babson (NCAA Tournament First Round Game): Buried 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-6 from three-point range and 4-of-4 from the line. He added four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
