2021: Appeared in 10 games as a sophomore in the shortened 30-game season, all in relief … led team in strikeouts (43) and tied for the lead in appearances … tossed a career-high 5.2 innings to pick up his first collegiate victory at Centenary (3/13), striking out a career-best 11 batters while allowing just one hit and no runs … struck out nine over 4.0 innings at Montclair State (3/26), allowing three earned on five hits … locked down NJCU’s second NJAC win of the season with his first-career save at TCNJ (4/17), tossing 3.0 scoreless, allowing just three hits and striking out four.

2020: Appeared in four games out of the bullpen as a freshman before the season was cut short due to COVID-19 … tossed 2.0 innings in his collegiate debut, fanning two and allowing one earned on two hits at McDaniel (2/23) … pitched a season-high 4.2 innings at Texas Lutheran (3/8), allowing just one earned on three hits with two strikeouts.

High School: A 2020 graduate of Manalapan High School … also attended Marlboro High School as a freshman and sophomore ...  four-year baseball team member, including three on varsity ... second team all-shore selection … all-conference … pitched in conference all-star game … helped team to state sectional championship.

Personal: Son of Sofia and Lucas Ayers ... has one sister, Sarah.
