Biography

2012 Career Highlights: (4/3 @ Montclair): Was 1-for-2 with a double and a RBI in game two.  (4/10 @ William Paterson): Was 2-for-3 in game one. (4/17 vs. Ramapo): Added a key double to left center in game one. Scored once in game two, batting 1-for-3. 

High School:  A 2011 graduate of Fountain Hills High School with high honors and a 4.67 GPA, he was a three-year varsity softball player for Coach Randy Bragg and played four seasons of varsity soccer for Coach Jean Serrano. She earned First-Team All-Region in both sports in 2010. She led the Falcons to four consecutive state playoff appearances in soccer (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) and the Central Arizona conference championship in 2010 and 2011, with a state runner-up showing in 2008. She also played AAU softball for the Desert Wolves 18-U team, coached by Steve Mehok…Chandler was class president for three years in high school.
 
Personal:  Jessica Lynn Chandler…Born October 12, 1992 in Arizona…Nickname is Jessie and ‘AZ’…Bats and throws right-handed…Mother is Georgia Chandler…Has one sister, Sheila…Her father, who she describes as her mentor, passed away from melanoma in the summer of 2010…Major at NJCU is Fire Science…would like to become a firefighter or paramedic…She attends NJCU on a full Presidential Scholarship for her academics…Named to the Dean’s list for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012...Chandler is the first known athlete at NJCU from the state of Arizona; Gothic Knight assistant coach Susie Matsutani is from nearby New Mexico…Chandler lives in the Arizona desert…She has competed in three triathlons…Served as an explorer for her hometown fire department, and has worked as a housekeeper and plumber…The well-rounded athlete was the quarterback and MVP of a traveling tackle football team when she was younger…Among her diverse skill set, Chandler can play a drumset or marching drums, writes songs, knows how to weld and build houses and hunt (bow and arrow or gun).
