Ibukun Olayinka was appointed to the position of assistant men's basketball coach prior to the 2023-24 season. He also serves as an assistant within the Rising Knight Institute.
Olayinka came to Jersey City most recently from Alliance University, where he was an assistant men's basketball coach for the 2022-23 season. Prior to that, he was an assistant men's basketball coach at Union County College for the 2021-22 season.
Olayinka earned his undergraduate degree in business management from Oral Roberts University in 2021. He was also a three-year practice player and one-year team member of the Golden Eagles' Division I men's basketball program.
A native of Union, N.J., Olayinka resided in Jersey City. He is currently pursuing his M.B.A. in healthcare administration from NJCU. His favorite NBA players is Russell Westbrook.
