2014-15 Season Highlights: (11/22 vs Kean): Scored 12 points in 10 minutes off the bench while knocking 4-of-8 three-point shots.
(12/3 @ William Paterson): Finished with 10 points in 12 minutes off the bench.
(10/13 @ Albertus Magnus): Finished with 10 points
(1/14 @ Rutgers-Camden): Tallied 15 points to go along with his three steals in 26 minutes of play.
(2/11 @ Richard Stockton): Finished 5-of-8 from the floor and scored 11 points to compliment four steals.
2013-14 Season Highlights: (1/18 @ TCNJ) : in his second game for NJCU scored 10 of his career-high 18 points in the first half... In 24 reserve minutes, he shot 5-of-9, including 3-of-5 from three-point range and 5-of-5 foul shooting...hit a three with 12.7 seconds left...(1/22 vs. Ramapo) :hit a go-ahead three from the corner with 15.5 seconds remaining, then had a key defensive rebound and foul shot with 1.6 seconds left...reached double figures in back-to-back games, finishing with 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting, 3-of-8 three-point accuracy... added five rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes..drilled the corner three..won the pursuit to the loose ball with six seconds left...grabbing the rebound with 1.6 to play (1/25 vs. Rowan) : with triples contributing to a 12-6 lead... drilled a three with 6:51 left in the period...scored 10 points for NJCU in the second half...(1/29 @ Rutgers-Newark) : scored seven, shooting 3-of-8...hit a jumper and then nailed a three..jumper off the window at the 5:22 mark ending a 10-0 Raiders run..(2/10 vs. Valley Forge Christian):chipped in 10 points (5-12 FG), six rebounds and four assists.(2/12 @ Montclair): scored 10 points (4-10 FG)...(3/5 @ College of Staten Island): chipped in 12 points (5-8 FG), making 2-of-4 three-point tries.. For starters: A mid-year transfer to NJCU from Purchase College in January, 2014.
Brown on McDaniel: “He’s a good athlete who can score the ball from a variety of spots on the floor. He is a pretty good defender who has active hands. He’s a good team player who really fits our system.”
Prior to NJCU: Began his career at Mitchell College (New London, CT) where he did not play in 2010-11 before transferring to Monroe College in the Bronx, NY for two years, earning an associate’s degree in business management. He transferred home to NJCU from Purchase College…He played one season at Monroe for Coach Jeff Brustad in 2012-13…He played in 18 games (five starts), averaging 2.3 points (42), 1.5 rebounds (6-21-27), 1.9 assists (34), 0.4 steals (7) and 0.2 blocks (3) per game while shooting .304 from the field (14-46), .500 from three-point range (4-8) and .526 from the line (10-19) in 8.6 minutes (155) per contest.
High School: A June 2010 graduate of Lincoln High School in Jersey City, NJ. Played four seasons of basketball, including three varsity (2007-10) for Coach Troy Smith…A 2010 Third-Team All-Hudson County selection…Team’s 2010 Most Valuable Player…Part of the 2007-08 Lincoln club that won the school’s first New Jersey Group II state championship, defeating Collingswood (88-70), before losing in the Tournament of Champions quarterfinals…Also played volleyball for the Lions.
