2012-13 Season Highlights: (1/9 @ Rutgers-Camden): Came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points in 20 minutes in his collegiate debut. He also grabbed four rebounds. (1/12 vs. TCNJ): Added seven points (3-7 FG), two assists and two steals. (1/16 @ Ramapo): Added 12 points and six rebounds in 20 reserve minutes. (1/23 vs. Rutgers-Newark): Netted a career-best and game-high 16 points, making 3-of-6 from three-point range and 7-of-8 from the line in 23 reserve minutes. (1/30 vs. Richard Stockton): Netted 14 points, making 5-of-10 from the field. ?(2/11 @ TCNJ): Scored eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with a pair of assists. (2/13 vs. Rutgers-Camden): Chipped in eight points, four rebounds and three assists.

Coach Brown on Kelly: “He’s a really versatile player who does everything well. He can handle the point guard position at 6-foot-4. He is a long, lanky defender and a team player.”

Before NJCU: Played one season (2011-12) at Seward County Community College (Liberal, Kansas) as a guard/forward for the Saints for Coach Bryan Zollinger…Received a medical hardship waiver due to an injury…His club won the Region VI and Jayhawk West Conference championship and posted a 31-7 record, placing third at the NJCAA national tournament.
 
High School:  A June 2009 graduate of Malcolm X. Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ…A four-year varsity player during his prep career, he had a combined career scoring average of 18.4 points per game…He attended Shabazz from 2008-09, playing for Coach Lou Grimsley and the Bulldogs, after previously attending Easton Area High School (Easton, Pa.) in 2005-06 and Jonathan Dayton High School (Springfield, NJ) for two years from 2006-08. After graduation, he attended Nia Prep (Newark, NJ) in 2009-10…He earned All-Watchung Conference honors in each season from 2007-2009…As a junior at Dayton in 2008, he earned Honorable Mention All-Union County honors and was named to the NJ.com All-Windex Team for Union County for his work on the glass…He also was named to the Third-Team All-Junior team…One of his strongest games came on February 24, 2009 vs. Union City (75-47 win) with 19 points, 20 rebounds and five assists…As a sophomore at Dayton, he averaged 13.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game, tallying 259 points…As a junior in 2007-08, he scored 307 points, averaging 12.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals.
