2021: Played and started in all 19 games in the abbreviated season as a senior … led the team with 15 total bases … notched her first hit and RBI of the season against Rowan (4/10), going 2-for-4 in the doubleheader … also went 1-for-3 with a RBI at William Paterson (4/13) … finished 1-for-2 with her first-career home run at Montclair State (4/20) … finished 3-for-6 with two doubles and a run in the doubleheader against Ramapo (4/27) … went 2-for-3 in the penultimate game of the season, scoring one run against Stockton (5/1) on Senior Day.
2020: Played and started in all seven games as a junior before the season was canceled due to COVID … was batting an outstanding .519 at the time, with 14 hits and five RBI … reached safely in six of seven games, notching multiple hits each time … started the season going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run in the win over MacMurray (3/9) … was 3-for-4 with a RBI and four runs scored against Holy Family (3/11) … also went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple and scored twice in the win over Cazenovia (3/12).
2019: Played and started in all 38 games as a sophomore, leading the team in batting (.309), walks (10) and on-base percentage (.391) and tied for the team lead in hits (30) … went 4-for-4 in her first-ever multi-hit game at Rockford (3/10) … was 2-for-3 with a RBI in the win over John Jay (3/25) … was 1-for-2 with a walk and scored twice in against Lehman (3/28) … went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored in the win at Centenary (4/4) … finished the season with three two-hit games in the final four, going 2-for-2 with two RBI, a double, a walk and a run at Stockton (4/27) and 4-for-6 with three runs in the doubleheader split with New Rochelle (5/4).
2018: Appeared in all 34 games as a rookie, making 32 starts … led the team in walks (10) … recorded her first-career hit and RBI in the win over Anna Maria (3/7) … reached safely twice on a pair of walks and scored twice in the win over Rivier (3/8) … notched hits in NJAC play against Rutgers-Camden (3/31), Kean (4/10), Stockton (4/11), Montclair State (4/22) and TCNJ (4/24).
High School: A 2017 graduate of County Prep High School … four-year softball team member, including three years on varsity … captain as a senior … honorable mention all-conference as a junior … second team all conference and team MVP as a senior … also a two-year member of the varsity bowling team.
Personal: Daughter of Lesbia and Juan Almonte … has one brother, Juan, Jr. … originally from the Dominican Republic … pursuing a career as a police officer ... enjoys watching Anime, bowling and eating acai bowls.
