2014 Highlights: (3/12 vs. Mount Mary):  Scored twice and doubled in a 1-for-2 effort..drew a leadoff walk in the 6th, stole second and third and scored on an RBI single...(3/18 @ John Jay game 1): knocked in four runs—three on a first-inning homerun...(3/18 @ John Jay game 2): made the first pitching appearance of her collegiate career and did not allow an earned run...(3/20 @ Brooklyn game 1): stole second and scored NJCU's first run on a triple to right center...(3/22 @ Stevens game 2): allowed just four runs and six hits with a strikeout (four walks) in 4.2 innings...(3/29 @ Rutgers-Camden game 2): smacked a solo homerun in the third inning...(4/1 @ Kean-game 2): allowed just two earned runs and five hits in defeat (0-6), walking seven...(4/3 @ Baruch-game 1): collected her first collegiate victory...In 5.0 innings she struck out three (five walks), allowed three runs and seven hits...generated four RBIs in a 3-for-4 performance that included three runs and two two-run doubles...(4/12 vs. Rutgers-Newark-game 2): was 1-for-2 with a triple and RBI...(4/16 @ Montclair State-game 2): allowed just five hits in 3.2 innings....(4/18 @ TCNJ-game 2): allowed just four earned runs

2013 Highlights: (3/23 vs. Stevens): Scored a run in game two. (3/26 vs. Mount Saint Vincent): Scored a run in game two. (4/2 vs. Kean): Was 1-for-2 with a double and run in the opener.  (4/23 @ Ramapo): Was 2-for-3 with a homerun in game two. ?(4/25 @ FDU-Florham): Scored once in the opener. 

High School:  A June 2011 graduate of Carteret High School in Carteret, NJ…Graduated with honors (3.7 GPA)…Played three seasons of softball (all varsity) for Coach Nick Scheno…Missed her senior season with an ACL injury suffered on the second day of practice…Also played one year of varsity basketball for coach Melissa Jones…Played club softball for the Carteret 16U team, coached by Randy Krum
 
Personal: Taylor Melissa Setar…Born July 28, 1993 in Edison, NJ…Bats and throws right-handed…Mother is Theresa Setar…Has one brother, Gregory…Major at NJCU is undeclared but wants to pursue a career with the FBI…Plays the trombone and is a member of the American Legion Marching Band…Has overcome three knee surgeries and two ACL tears in both knees to continue playing…Says she stands out because of “work ethic, trust, desire/heart to win and determination.”
