New Jersey City University Athletics

Cory Bennett became a member of the 2018-19 women’s basketball coaching staff after coaching with the New Jersey Shoreshots for eight years (four as the head coach) and one year as the Jersey Shore Elite head coach. This is the first collegiate coaching experience for Bennett.
 
Bennett attended Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2007 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. He attended Sayreville War Memorial High School in Sayreville, N.J. playing three years of basketball, one at the varsity level under coach Gustave Jaworski.
 
“I heard of Cory from his coaching AAU basketball,” head coach Pat Devaney said. “He’s a personal trainer and individual trainer, so he helps us a lot with individual strength and skill. He brings a great deal of knowledge when it comes to strength and conditioning.”
