High School: A June 2001 graduate of Old Bridge High School with a 2.7 GPA where she won the 2000-2001 NJSIAA Girls Bowling Individual State Championship with a state record score…a four-year varsity bowler for coach Stephen Lundquist…is the first bowling state champion in Old Bridge history…owns school record for high game (275), high series (723), and high season average (198)…guided the Knights to two state tournaments…was a three-time All-Greater Middlesex Conference selection, including once each as a First-Team, Second-Team and Honorable Mention pick…a three-time All-Middlesex-County pick…Honorable Mention All-Middlesex county as a freshman in 1998…a two-time All-State choice…First-Team All-State in 2001 after winning the individual championship…selected as the 2001 Bowler of the Year by the Newark-Star Ledger and the Home News Tribune…as a senior (2000-01), the Knights went 8-8 on the season and made it to the second round of the GMC tourney...Old Bridge took sixth in the Central Jersey sectionals, and seventh in the Woodbridge Winter Classic…Viens led the Lady Knights with a 195 average, including a team-high game of 258, which was part of a 689 series, also tops on the girls’ team...her senior average was second in the GMC only to South Plainfield’s Melissa Jamieson, and she bowled extremely well in the GMC Tournament…finished in fifth place at the 1999 GMC conference tournament as a sophomore, and qualified for the state tournament…as a junior in 2000, placed third in the GMC conference tournament…as a senior in 2001, took third place in the Central Jersey Winter Classic and second place in the Group IV, Central Jersey state sectional tournament.
