Biography

For starters: A transfer from Briarcliffe College after a very successful two-year stint as one of the top junior college bowlers in the nation.

 

2003-04, Briarcliffe: Named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American at Briarcliffe…Winner of the Kerm Helmer Award, for the women’s all-events crown at the NJCAA championships…Finished with a pinfall of 2357 in 12 games for a 196.4 average…Bowled for Steve Tismon, the 2004 NJCAA Coach of the Year…A major factor in Briarcliffe winning the 2004 NJCAA Women’s National Bowling Championship—the school’s first-ever—March 12-13, 2004 in Buffalo, NY…Briarcliffe thwarted Erie Community College’s bid for a 10th straight national title…Their total of 13023 was 726 pins better than second place Vincennes (12297), and Erie (12260)…Teamed with Christina Schulze to finish first in the doubles with 1177...At the 2003 Pennsylvania Classic in Lancaster, PA, was 17th overall with a 197.5556 average (1778 pins) in nine games…Placed sixth overall with a six-game pinfall of 1169 at the 2004 Collegiate Singles Championship East Region qualifier on March 19 in Downingtown, PA…the top four advanced to the national tournament (NJCU’s Jen Viens was third).

 

2002-03, Briarcliffe: As a freshman, posted a pinfall of 2216 at the 2003 NJCAA Women’s Bowling Championships in Buffalo, NY, March 6-8…Finished seventh in the individual all-events standings…Briarcliffe finished second overall, losing to Erie by a mere 197 pins (12506-12309)….Rolled a 202 in her only game at the Nittany Lion Kegler Classic…At the Blue and Orange Classic on February 2, 2003, was third in the women’s individual results with a 190.17 average (1141).

 

High School: A June 2002 graduate of G.W. Hewlett High School in Hewlett, NY…A four-year varsity bowler for Head Coach Melissa Mato…A three-time All-Nassau County and All-State selection for the Bulldogs…Also named All-Conference once…Played three seasons of volleyball at G.W. Hewlett, including one year of varsity for coach Marie Vigginio.
