Peter Tylutki is serving as an assistant women’s soccer coach at
New Jersey City University for a second season in 2014-15, handling goalkeeper training responsibilities on the staff of head coach
Michael Vivino.
In his first season as an assistant coach in 2013, behind three-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference goalkeeper
Brittany Hoffman, ranked No. 1 in Division III in saves per game.
Tylutki makes the jump to the collegiate ranks after serving as both head and assistant coach of the boys’ varsity soccer program at Barringer High School in Newark, NJ. He served as head coach of the Blue Bears for two seasons (2006-08), compiling a 12-21 record. He returned to the school as an assistant coach in 2011-12.
He has additional experience as an assistant coach at the Metropolitan Soccer Academy since 2008, serving under
Vivino. A 2012 graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, he played three seasons for the Pioneers from 2004-07 for Coach Brian Woods. He appeared in five games in 2004 and 2005. As a sophomore, he played three games in net (two starts), with a 1-1 record, one shutout and six saves in 205:00 minutes for a 1.76 goals against average.
A 2004 graduate of Wayne Valley High School, he played four seasons of soccer (three varsity) for Coach Dan Kilday (2001-03). He was a member of an Indians side that reached the 2001 Passaic County finals.
Off the field,
Tylutki is a musician who has been playing and performing most of his life and also has experience as a stand-up comedian.
Tylutki, 29, still resides in Wayne.
