Kai Dugquem (do-QUEEM) was introduced as an assistant coach for the New Jersey City University women's volleyball program in August of 2021. He brings experience both as a player and a coach to the Gothic Knights.
In addition to his coaching duties with Jersey City, Dugquem has served as the lead head coach with Gold Medal Squared volleyball, a traveling club team, since May of 2020. Before that, he spent one year in 2018-19 as the head coach of the Utah Valley University men's club volleyball team.
On the court, Dugquem has played professionally for the Utah Stingers of the National Volleyball Association (NVA) as a libero/defensive specialist since October of 2019. Additionally, he was a libero/setter for the Malory Eagles of the England Super League (ESL) in London in 2020-21.
Dugquem was a three-year member of The Ohio State University men's club volleyball team as a libero from 2012-15. He was selected as a Second Team All-American as a libero by the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) as a senior. Additionally, while with the Buckeyes, he served as a practice player for the women's NCAA Division I program. He also played collegiately with the University at East London in 2020.
A 2015 graduate of OSU, Dugquem earned a B.A. in finance. He also earned his M.B.A. from East Long in 2021.
