Jordan Mendolla returns to the New Jersey City University softball program for the 2026 season, joining the coaching staff after two standout years as a middle infielder for the Gothic Knights in 2024 and 2025. During her time at NJCU, Mendolla appeared in 72 games, posting a .332 batting average with 64 hits, 51 runs, 37 RBIs, 15 doubles, seven triples, and one home run. She added a .497 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage, alongside 29 walks, 14 stolen bases, five sacrifice hits, and three sacrifice flies. Defensively, she recorded 134 putouts, 160 assists, and a .905 fielding percentage.
In her senior year, Mendolla led the team in walks (13), games played (38), and games started (37). Her junior season saw her top the squad in walks (16), hit-by-pitch (3), runs (24), sacrifice bunts (4), RBIs (16), and stolen bases (8). In NJAC play, she ranked among the conference leaders in triples (10th), assists (4th), and fielding double plays (3rd) as a senior, and in on-base percentage (10th), walks (9th), and fielding double plays (6th) as a junior.
Before NJCU, Mendolla played two seasons at Georgian Court University, where she earned NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors in 2023. She contributed to the Lions’ NCAA Division II Tournament appearances both seasons and helped the team win the CACC Championship during her freshman year. Mendolla appeared in 21 games as a freshman, scoring eight runs and recording one stolen base, and as a sophomore, she started 45 of 49 games, totaling 16 hits, 13 runs, 17 RBIs, seven doubles, three home runs, eight walks, and seven stolen bases.
A 2021 graduate of Hudson Catholic Regional High School, Mendolla also attended County Prep High School for three years, where she played three years of softball for Snyder High School. Across her four-year varsity career, she amassed 95 runs, 77 hits, 62 RBIs, 10 home runs, 259.2 innings pitched, and 331 strikeouts. Her senior season honors included Hudson County Player of the Year, First Team All-County, and All-State as a utility player. She was Hudson County Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore, First Team All-County as a sophomore, and Honorable Mention All-County as a freshman. Her teams qualified for the NJSIAA Tournament in three of her four seasons.
Mendolla was also a four-year varsity volleyball player, a two-year varsity basketball player, and competed in track for one year. She currently resides in Jersey City while pursuing a degree in Psychology at New Jersey City University.
