Tom Krychkowski joined New Jersey City University (NJCU) in 2024 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Marketing after six years at Rutgers University-Newark as the Director of Athletic Communications. 

At NJCU, he is responsible for the leadership, execution and support of NJCU Athletics in the athletic communications department, blending the traditional sports information role with enhanced digital and creative content services. He oversees all creative services, broadcasting, video production, video editing, graphic design and more for the school’s varsity programs. Additionally, he oversees the marketing efforts for the department as a whole.

Krychkowski came to New Jersey City University from Rutgers University-Newark, where he served as the Director of Athletic Communications from March of 2019 to September of 2024. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the athletic communications department. He helped expand RaiderVision, offering a top-tier broadcast for all home events, and managed statistical coverage for all of Rutgers-Newark's home events. Utilized digital content, social media, photos, video, graphic design and other short-form content to tell the story of Rutgers-Newark Athletics for over 250+ student-athletes. His social media efforts saw the social channels grow at exponential rates behind custom made graphics and in depth video interviews, giving a behind the scenes look at the student-athletes. 

Krychkowski spent five years at the College of Staten Island as the Assistant Sports Information Director. At CSI, he improved their social media graphics and footprint and also helped grow CSI SportsNet. He was part of the Golf Outing and marketing meetings while also writing and editing feature articles for www.csidolphins.com and other media outlets. 

Before his time at the College of Staten Island, Krychkowski was a Sports Information Student Assistant at New Jersey City University where he was in charge of statistics for men's basketball and softball where he was also used as the public address announcer. During his time at New Jersey City University, Krychkowski was a member of the men's soccer team from 2008-2011. In his senior season, he was awarded the Robert L. McNulty award for his dedication to the sport of soccer, competitive spirit on the playing field, knowledge of the fundamentals of soccer and demonstration of leadership in the advancement and expansion of soccer. Adding to his senior season he was named to the Dean's list as well.

Krychkowski completed his undergraduate in business marketing at New Jersey City University in 2012. 

When not working, Krychkowski enjoys sitting at home with his wife, two kids and their dog. He is also an avid cruiser, having been on over 40 cruises.
