Tyneil Jackson '23 was appointed to the role of assistant coach with the New Jersey City University cross country and track & field programs prior to the start of the 2023-24 academic year. He primarily serves as the team's jumps and field coach, while assisting in other day-to-day responsibilities.

Jackson earned his undergraduate degree in sports management from NJCU in 2023 and was a three-year member of the men's track & field program. There he competed as a sprinter, jumper and javelin thrower. A co-captain as a senior in 2023-24, Jackson is a two-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) selection, earning Honorable Mention honors as part of the outdoor 4x100m relay in 2022, as well as Second Team in 2023 in the outdoor decathlon.

Born, bred and currently residing in Jersey City, Jackson graduated from James J. Ferris High School in 2018. He played varsity football and varsity track & field.
