Sophomore forward J.P. ROSERO (Jersey City, NJ/St. Benedict’s Prep) is the NJCU Men's Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career after scoring a goal that kept the Gothic Knights alive in its New Jersey Athletic Conference-opening, 3-1 loss to William Paterson University on September 18.

Rosero's second goal of the season in the 47th minute cut the deficit to 2-1 just after halftime. He had two of NJCU's nine shots in the game and one on goal.
Just 1:24 into the second half, teammate Nana Kofi Kusi delivered a perfect thru ball that allowed Rosero to head onto the right side of the box on a breakaway. Rosero dribbled three yards from the endline and ripped a shot home at 46:24, from a difficult angle.

On the season in five games (327 minutes), Rosero has two goals (one game-winner) and four points on seven shots (three on goal). He has made four starts.

Among the NJAC leaders through September 19, Rosero ranks tied for seventh in game-winning goals (1), tied for 11th in goals per game (0.40), tied for 14th in goals (2), 18th in points per game (0.80) and tied for 24th in total points (4).
