Junior AMY BREHM (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) is the NJCU Women’s Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week and the second time in her career after she averaged a 207.56 in nine games and an 1868 pinfall as the NJCU women’s bowling team went 7-2 overall at the first Northeast Conference (NEC) event of the 2010-11 season, including a win over nationally No. 1 ranked Fairleigh Dickinson University, to claim a share of first place in the NEC. Overall she was sixth among 73 bowlers in the individual standings.

She tossed a 201 in NJCU’s 955-784 victory over Long Island University and collected a then-career best 233 in a 1088-1001 setback to #9 Kutztown University. She concluded a solid day with a 226 as NJCU knocked off the defending NEC Tournament champions, #10 Sacred Heart University, 1011-933.

In a 996-937 win over #13 Adelphi University, NJCU trailed by more than 50 pins late in the match before the Knights began tossing strikes.
Brehm led the squad with a 223 and posted five straight strikes from the seventh frame until the fill ball in the 10th frame.

In a 77-pin upset of #1 ranked and NEC preseason favorite
