JERSEY CITY, NJ…
Seven different players scored, led by a pair of lightning-quick first half goals from sophomore forward TRAVIS MCKOY (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia), and 30 Gothic Knights saw action, as the #24 ranked New Jersey City University men's soccer remained unbeaten in 10 consecutive games, defeating City College of New York, 8-0, in a non-conference game on Saturday at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. NJCU outshot CCNY, 43-4.

NJCU (8-2-2), ranked third in the NCAA Division III Metro Region and 24th nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, has not lost in six weeks, dating back to August 30, and won its fifth straight meeting with the Beavers. The Knights lead the all-time series, 5-1. CCNY drops to 4-11-0 on the season.

Mckoy
's two goals, at 39:51 and 40:16, came in a span of just 25 seconds, setting a school record for consecutive goals by the same player. They were the fifth fastest consecutive goals on record in NCAA history. The previous NJCU record was 52 seconds by Marcelo Carpio on October 16, 2005.

The two goals were one second shy of the fastest back-to-back tallies as a team in program history. In NJCU's 4-1 win over Hamilton in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament, the club saw two balls find the net in 00:24.

NJCU has outscored its opponents this season, 45-12 and improves to 51-8-1 at home over the last six years.

NJCU also received single goals from senior center midfielder JONATHAN BILBAO (Carteret, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep), senior defender GONZALO DAPIA (Kearny, NJ/Kearny), junior midfielder CARLOS MORON (Harrison, NJ/Harrison), freshman midfielder BRYAN LOPEZ (Englewood, NJ/Dwight Morrow), freshman forward ALEX CERON (Belleville, NJ/Belleville), and sophomore forward CHRISTIAN MARIN (West Paterson, NJ/Passaic Valley).

's second goal of the season was all NJCU needed as he extended his own program record with his 12th career game-winner. At 15:48, he stole possession from the CCNY defense and lofted a high shot over Alabi's head from the left wing.

Moron
notched his second goal of the year moments into the second half when he buried a one-timer at 47:58 off a Perez cross from the right wing into the box.

Lopez
' header inside the left post off a free-kick from Moron on the right made it 6-0 at 73:22 with his second goal of the year.
