GALLOWAY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Richard Stockton College, the six-time defending New Jersey Athletic Conference women's volleyball champions, had a 34-13 advantage in kills and swept an NJAC match from the Gothic Knights, 25-18, 25-15, 25-15, on October 21 at the Stockton Sports Center.

The Ospreys (23-4, 7-0 NJAC) extended their winning streak against NJAC opponents to 49 straight since October 28, 2009. Meanwhile, Stockton clinched the No. 1 seed in the 2014 NJAC Tournament with the win and prevailed for the 15
th time in 17 matches. NJCU (5-18, 0-7 NJAC) dropped its fifth in a row.

Ashley Latushko (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) had nine digs while one-time NJAC Rookie of the Week and setter

Stockton's
Macy Schwartz had more kills individually than NJCU, hitting at an incredible .520 rate with 15 winners (15-2-25) and six blocks (five assisted).

Lindsay Schuele added eight kills at .278 (8-3-18) and
Ali Giordano finished with eight digs and six kills (6-2-16, .250).
Jessica Ciandella dished 22 assists and six digs and
Kalette DeMarrais chalked up 10 assists.
Emily Grube served half of Stockton's eight aces.

The Ospreys reached double figures in kills in each set—10, 11 and 13, respectively. Stockton also had nine team blocks. Stockton jumped out to a 9-3 lead in the second set and led 9-1 in the third, thanks to five consecutive kills by
Schwartz.

- Medley increased her career totals to 1,059.0 points, 906 kills and 179 blocks (105 solo). She needs 94 more kills to become the fourth Gothic Knight with 1,000 career kills—a milestone she is on pace to reach. Sarah Torres (2005-08) with 961 kills is next on the all-time list, just 55 kills away.

WHAT'S NEXT?NJCU will head to Patchogue, NY on Friday, October 24 for the St. Joseph's College (LI) Tournament. NJCU will face host St. Joseph's and Alfred State College at 4 and 6 p.m. on day one before meeting Keystone College and Wilkes University at 12 and 2 p.m. on October 25.
