New Jersey City University fell behind by double figures in the first quarter and RCNJ snapped its New Jersey Athletic Conference losing streak with a 67-42 win over NJCU on December 9 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (Coach Charlie Brown Court). Ramapo outscored the Gothic Knights in the paint, 48-8.

Ramapo (3-6, 1-3 NJAC) snapped a 23-game regular season NJAC losing skid while NJCU (1-7, 0-4 NJAC) lost its fifth straight. The outcome was clearly determined by shooting percentage, particularly inside. Ramapo shot 49.1 percent (27-55) from the field while NJCU struggled, making just 22.7 percent on the night (15-66). NJCU made 8-of-28 from three-point range (.286) and 4-of-15 from the foul line (.267).

Kellie Lane (Ridgefield Park, NJ/Ridgefield Park) with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting with eight rebounds. Junior forward
Bintou Berete (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck) had 17 points (7-12 FG) and six rebounds off the bench. Freshman guard
Alexandra Seedes (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) had 14, shooting 5-of-9 overall and 3-of-6 from three-point territory.

Megan Semeniak (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) notched a career-high 12 points for NJCU (4-9 FG), knocking down 3-of-8 from long distance.

Deseree Johnson (Red Bank, NJ/Monmouth Regional), coming off a career-high 29-point effort two days earlier, struggled from the field (2-12, 1-7 3FG) but had a game-high 11 rebounds (seven defensive) with four assists and two blocks. Freshman guard
Christine Bizub (Fort Lee, NJ/Fort Lee) scored nine points, all from three-point range. Junior point guard
Jazz Randall (Parsippany, NJ/West Orange) tallied seven rebounds and five points.

Ramapo outscored the Knights 23-10 in the first quarter, scoring the first seven points before
Seedes hit an NBA range three. She buried another from 25 feet with 1:23 to go to push the lead to 11 (19-8) as she and
Lane combined for 13 points in the period.

Ramapo would lead by double figures from there on out. Another long three by
Seedes made it a 15-point game (28-13). The Roadrunners led by as many as 19 in the period when
Berete scored with 1:09 to play and Ramapo pushed the margin to 39-21 at the half as
Seedes (11 points),
Lane (10) and
Berete (9) combined for 30 of 39. The Roadrunners shot 51.7 percent (15-29) from the field and 3-of-6 from three-point range in the opening 20 minutes.

RCNJ outscored NJCU in the third quarter, 14-4, and it led 53-25 at the end of 30 minutes. RCNJ's largest lead was 65-34 with 4:13 to play in the fourth.
