New Jersey City University women's basketball on Senior Day on February 13 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (Coach Charlie Brown Court).

Montclair State  (18-6, 14-3 NJAC), ranked No. 3 in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region, won its seventh consecutive game after entering the day tied with Rowan and Stockton atop the league standings. NJCU (1-22, 0-17 NJAC) concluded its home schedule with the loss. In a game that took just 1:29 to play there were only 22 combined fouls by both teams.

Prior to the game, NJCU honored its lone senior, three-year captain and forward
Deseree Johnson (Red Bank, NJ/Monmouth Regional). She scored 10 on Senior Day, including two threes, to increase her own single-season (56) and career (113) three-point records.

Sophomore center
Sharaunda Fiedtkou (West Orange, NJ/Bayonne) scored a career-high 20 points for the hosts on 9-of-12 shooting with seven rebounds in 38 minutes. She scored 13 in the first half on 6-of-7 shooting.
Montclair shot 55.6 percent in the first half (15-27) when it led 48-30 at the break. It was a sensational 11-of-20 from three-point distance (55.0 percent) and finished the game with 13 three-pointers—the second most in a game in program history (15 vs. Rutgers-Newark, January 11, 1995).
