New Jersey City University women's volleyball team got timely kills from freshman middle hitter
Leah Seickendick (Hoboken, NJ/Hudson Catholic) and sophomore opposite
Pamela Florimon (Teaneck, NJ/Memorial) and hung on to defeat Albertus Magnus College, 3-2 (22-25, 26-24, 25-22, 20-25, 15-12) in a non-conference match on October 3 at the AMC Athletic Center.
NJCU moved back above .500 at 9-8 overall, using 11.0 total blocks to compliment an offense that put away the Falcons (11-8), winning for the second day in a row.
Junior outside hitter
Ayleen Pittar (Union City, NJ/Union City) posted her 12th career double-double, registering a team-high 14 kills with 17 digs and two blocks while junior middle blocker
Nadia Montgomery (Jersey City, NJ/Hudson Catholic) produced nine kills, hit .333 (9-3-18) and stuffed six blocks.
Florimon had a career-high 10 kills—four more than in any previous match—hitting .269 (10-3-26).

Amber O'Donnell (East Newark, NJ/Harrison) defended a match-best 23 digs and junior outside hitter
Georgina Rayo (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academic) delivered 21 digs. Senior setter

Shaylah Ware (Newark, NJ/Science Park) added 19 assists, six digs and three aces. Junior opposite
