Jynaisha Martin (Jersey City, NJ/Hackensack) accounted for more than half of the
New Jersey City University women's basketball team's points, scoring 11 off the bench for the second straight game in an 84-19 loss to The College of New Jersey on January 22 inside Packer Hall.

TCNJ (14-4, 9-2 NJAC) scored 20 or more points in three different quarters and led 22-6 at the end of the first period before taking a 36-12 lead into halftime. The Lions shot 44.6 percent from the floor overall (33-74) while limiting the Gothic Knights (0-14, 0-11 NJAC) to 6-of-51 shooting on the night. TCNJ's balanced attack yielded a 39-14 advantage in bench points and it outrebounded NJCU, 60-30, as it moved to a perfect 8-0 record at home this season.

Martin led the Gothic Knights with 11 points, while freshman center
Gianna Benacquista (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) grabbed six rebounds (five offensive) and four points. Freshman forward
Christina Mezey (Jersey City, NJ/Saint Dominic Academy) also had six boards (all defensive).

For TCNJ, freshman forward
Shannon Devitt (Westfield, N.J.) hauled in 17 rebounds (10 offensive), scored 11 points (5-11 FG) and forced two steals in 17 minutes on the court. Sophomore forward
Jen Byrne (Medford, N.J) scored 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting in 22 minutes, while
Nicole Shatsky (Marlboro, N.J.) was effective with 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3FG), seven assists and five boards in 18 minutes of work.

(River Edge, N.J) fell just short of a double-double performance with nine rebounds (seven defensive) and nine points on 4-of-10 shooting, while senior guard
Charlotte Schum (East Hanover, N.J.) scored nine points (3-3 FG) and forced three steals in 10 minutes.
