Wallace Earns All-Tournament Honors in Baker Format of Metro New York Invite

LODI, N.J. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team completed play in their first competition of the 2020-21 season this afternoon, Sunday, Jan. 30, with a strong performance on day two of the Metro New York Invitational (Baker Format), which was hosted at the Lodi Lanes by Felician University.

Sophomore Arielle Wallace (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) was once again the strongest bowler for the Gothic Knights (2-6) on the day, racking up the third-highest average score per frame (21.03) out of all the competitors behind only the co-Tournament Most Valuable Players from Molloy College and Chestnut Hill College.

NJCU picked up its second victory of the season, and first in a Baker format, during today's third match against the hosting Golden Falcons. Overall, Chestnut Hill placed first on the day going 4-0 with a score of 3,908 (195.4 average/game). The Gothic Knights placed fifth at 3,442 (172.1 average/game) and gave the eventual-champion Griffins a run for their money in their fourth and final match of the day, falling by just 15 (916-901).
