JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Sophomore
Martin Chromulak (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) had an outstanding day for the New Jersey City University men's volleyball team, totaling 24 kills and 11 aces over six sets during the Gothic Knights' double-header clean sweep of Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday, March 14, in Skyline Conference action at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (JMAC).
NJCU (4-2, 4-0 Skyline) dominated the Gryphons (0-2, 0-2 Skyline) from beginning to end as everyone got in on the action for the Gothic Knights. Chromulak's fellow sophomore middle blocker

Leo Ferrari (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) dished 28 assists as well.
Things started back and fourth as Sarah Lawrence managed to keep it within one at 6-5 before NJCU went on an 11-2 run to make it 17-7 thanks to, among other things, four kills from Chromulak. The Gothic Knights finished out the set for the 25-14 win. Set number two started back and fourth once again as SLC kept it tied at 6-6 before NJCU jumped out to another 13-1 run to make it 19-7. Chromulak notched four aces during the run, while Ferrari registered a pair. NJCU would finish off the set 25-15. The final game of match number one started positively for the Gothic Knights right away as they took a 12-4 lead. They eventually stretched that out 17-6 before finishing off the Gryphons 25-14.
