GALLOWAY, N.J. – The NJCU women's soccer team fell to Stockton in an NJAC match, losing 2-1 on Saturday, Oct. 5 at G. Larry James Stadium.
The Ospreys (6-3-2, 1-1-1 NJAC) outshot the Gothic Knights (4-2-4, 0-2-1 NJAC) 15-6, with an advantage of 9-3 in shots on target and 12-6 in corner kicks. They also committed 10 fewer fouls than NJCU. Senior forward

Arianna Chavez (Roselle Park, N.J./Academy for Allied Health Sciences) registered NJCU's on-target shots.
Stockton took an early lead with goals in the 2nd and 12th minutes, heading into halftime with a 2-0 advantage. However, in the 74th minute, Chavez capitalized on a scramble in front of the net to score her sixth goal of the season, narrowing the gap to 2-1.

Sophia Mannino (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) put forth a strong performance, playing all 90 minutes and making seven saves to keep the team in the match.
