YONKERS, N.Y. – The New Jersey City University (NJCU) men's soccer team earned a solid 3-0 victory over Sarah Lawrence on Friday, Sept. 13. Freshman forward
Christan Palmer (Union, N.J./Union) stole the spotlight with two goals, marking his first collegiate scores.
NJCU (3-1-1) controlled the game, outshooting Sarah Lawrence (1-4) 8-4 in shots on target, despite both teams having 10 total shots. Freshman goalkeeper
Dominic Cunha (Rahway, N.J./Rahway) made four key saves to preserve the shutout.
The Gryphons started strong, keeping the Gothic Knights from registering a shot for the first 18 minutes and leading in shots in the first half, 6-4. The match remained scoreless at halftime.

Palmer sealed the win with his second goal of the night in the final 30 seconds, bringing the final score to 3-0.
