JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The New Jersey City University (NJCU) men's soccer team secured a narrow 1-0 victory over the City College of New York (CCNY) on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field.
Despite being outshot by CCNY 15-12, NJCU (4-1-1) demonstrated resilience. The Beavers (0-4) had the edge in shots on target, 8-5, and both teams were evenly matched in terms of fouls with 12 each.

Dominic Cunha (Rahway, N.J./Rahway) was a standout, making a season-high eight saves to preserve the shutout. The first half saw no goals, with CCNY holding a 5-2 advantage in shots on target and NJCU struggling to get a shot on goal.

Hans Zoller (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Kearny), who delivered a precise strike to the high right corner of the net, giving NJCU a 1-0 lead. The Gothic Knights came out more assertive in the second half, registering 13 shots and committing 10 fouls.
