The Profs followed up with an infield single RBI to increase its lead to 3-0. In the top of the fourth, the Gothic Knights picked up their first hit of the game from Abby Castro (Clifton, N.J./Passaic County Tech)

The Profs exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth aided by an error from the Gothic Knights. Natalie Rosales (Union City, N.J./Jose Marti STEM Academy) and Alonah Olden (Lake George, N.Y./Lake George) both hit a single in the fifth, however, NJCU was unable to capitalize as Rowan prevented the Gothic Knights from crossing home.
