JACQUELINE LeBLANC (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) is the NJCU Women's Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career and the first time since 2006 as she led the Gothic Knight offense last week as NJCU went 4-0 to run its winning streak to six, while extending their New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season winning streak to 14 consecutive games.
LeBlanc had double digits in kills in all four matches and had a match-high in winners in each contest.
In NJCU’s sweep of William Paterson University, 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-22) on September 23, LeBlanc registered her 30th career double-double with a match-high 12 kills (12-4-39), a .205 percentage, 13 digs and two aces.
In NJCU’s road upset victory against preseason NJAC favorite Montclair State University on September 25, where the Knights swept the defending conference champions in just 76 minutes, LeBlanc poured in a match 10 kills (10-3-30), five digs and hit .233. LeBlanc also recorded her 1200th kill in the match.
In a 25-8, 25-15, 25-16 sweep of John Jay College in the opening round of a tri-match on September 27—a match that lasted just 57 minutes— LeBlanc led the way with a match-high 11 kills and a .429 hitting percentage (11-2-21), and two service aces.
In a 25-13, 25-16, 25-9 sweep of SUNY Old Westbury—this time in only 52 minutes—LeBlanc posted a match-best 10 kills for NJCU, hitting .316 (10-4-19) with three aces in the second contest of the tri-match.
Through September 24, LeBlanc is tied for the conference lead in kills per set (3.83, 115 overall. She is fifth in the NJAC in points per set (4.15), 12th in digs (2.77) and 13th in hitting percentage (.221).
