JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University's athletics department will hold a pep rally and club showcase on Tuesday, November 25 prior to the Gothic Knights' home conference basketball doubleheader against Rutgers University-Newark.
 
The event will begin at 3 p.m. in the lobby of the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center with a club showcase where NJCU students can learn more about the extra-curricular offerings on campus and meeting organizational leaders.
 
At 5 p.m. the event moves to the JMAC gymnasium where the Gothic Knights will face rival Rutgers-Newark's women's basketball team at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8 p.m. Admission is free for all fans for both games.
 
At halftime of the women's game all Gothic Knights athletic teams will be introduced at mid-court. Student government clubs will be acknowledged on court at halftime of the men's game.
 
The first 100 fans to enter the gymnasium for the women's game beginning at 5 p.m. will receive a free t-shirt. The concession stand will be open beginning at 3 p.m. with other free giveaways throughout the afternoon. The NJCU Spirit Squad and a DJ will also perform and provide entertainment.
 
The event is co-sponsored by the Student Government Organization (SGO), the Senior Class, Fashion Organization and the Black Freedom Society.
