For Starters: NJCU looks to snap a six-game losing streak against the defending New Jersey Athletic Conference champions. Kean looks to continue its seven-game winning streak.
#GothicRewind—NJCU Falls to #12 Montclair StateIn its last action on September 23, NJCU took a nationally ranked team to the half scoreless for the third time this season before. No. 12/13 ranked Montclair State University scored 2:21 into the second half, then added a pair of goals in a span of 58 seconds to seal it in the middle of the period before claiming a 4-0 win over the Gothic Knights.
Matt Hendrickson scored the first two goals for the Red Hawks in the 48th and 65th minutes and
Rafael Terci added a goal and an assist—contributing to both tallies in the 65th and 66th minutes.
Abdou Touray, NJCU's second leading scorer, was lost with an injury in the first half which delayed the game 38 minutes.
Scoreless at the Half:NJCU has taken an opponent to the half scoreless five times this season and in three straight games. However, the Knights have lost all five of those games (9/4/2015 vs. John Jay, 9/12/15 vs. #1 Christopher Newport, 9/19/15 at NYU, 9/21/15 at Rutgers-Camden) and 9/23/15 vs. #12 Montclair State. NJCU has lost all five games.

- Kean is one of six NJAC schools ranked in the Top 10 in the South Atlantic Region. The NJAC is dominating the poll with Montclair State (2nd), Rutgers-Camden (4th), Rowan (5th), Rutgers-Newark (7th), Kean (8th) and Stockton (10th). Meanwhile, even TCNJ (7 points, 11th) is receiving votes in a year where anyone can win the conference title.
- Kean has not lost since a 1-0 result at Swarthmore in the finals of a tournament on September 6.
- Kean has posted five shutouts and has allowed only six goals in 10 games. The Cougars have outscored opponents, 41-6 and average 4.10 goals per game.

- As a team, Kean leads the NJAC in shots (275), shots per game (27.50), points per game (11.70), assists (35), assists per game (3.50), corner kicks (85), shutouts (5), goals against average (0.60) and fewest goals allowed (6). The squad lists second in points (117) and goals (41) to Montclair State (118 points, 46 goals).
- Goalkeeper Chidi Iloka leads the NJAC in shutouts (3) and lists second in the conference in goals against average (0.49) and third in save percentage (.864).
