NJCU, winners of two straight on the road, plays the first of 11 home games tonight against York. The Cardinals are 0-1 on the road this season. NJCU owns an all-time record of 185-70 (.725) in 255 home games at the JMAC since the facility opened in 1994-95.
#GothicRewind—NJCU Rallies Past Rutgers-Newark, 69-62In its last action on November 24, NJCU trailed by a dozen early in the second half before rallying behind the play of junior point guard
Ata Robinson (Newark, NJ/East Side) who canned a game-tying three-pointer with 3:11 left and hit four foul shots in the final seconds to seal it as NJCU opened its 2015-16 New Jersey Athletic Conference schedule with a 69-62 come-from-behind win over Rutgers-Newark at the Golden Dome Arena.
Robinson scored 19 of his game-high 21 points in the second half and finished the contest a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw stripe while dishing five assists and four steals.
Down 60-57 with 4:21 to go, NJCU scored the next eight points and held RUN without a field goal until 14 seconds remained. Meanwhile, NJCU forced the Scarlet Raiders into three costly turnovers during that span and 25 in the game, which the Knights translated into a decisive 28-13 margin in points off giveaways.
Senior power forward
Chinwe Wosu (Jersey City, NJ/University Academy Charter) continued to be remarkably efficient inside, shooting 7-of-10 from the field for 16 points with six rebounds, four steals and two assists. Freshman guard
Tyler Caldwell (Jersey City, NJ/Snyder), who scored 11 points in his first three collegiate games, netted 12 with five rebounds in his second start.
Robinson Owns the LineAta Robinson is shooting 25-of-26 from the line in the first four games of the season—96.2 percent—and has made 17 in a row. He is fourth in the NJAC in foul shooting behind three players who have yet to miss in 18, 14 and 8 chances.
Robinson also ranks seventh in steals (2.0), 10th in assists (2.8), and 23rd in scoring.
Chin UpChinwe Wosu, playing collegiate basketball for the first time in two seasons, is enjoying a rebirth of remarkable proportions. In his first four games of the season, he has scored in double figures four times and is averaging 15.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.3 assists and 0.8 blocks per game.
Wosu is shooting an awesome 73.0 percent from the field—27-of-37—and 70 percent or better in three of four contests while attempting at least eight shots in each outing.
Wosu leads the NJAC in field goal percentage by a huge margin (Rutgers-Newark's
David Azoroh is at .596). He is also the NJAC leader in offensive rebounding at 3.5 per game. The next closest is averaging 3.0.
Wosu also ranks third in the conference in rebounding and steals, eighth in blocked shots, ninth in scoring and 11th in defensive rebounding (4.3). He lists in the Top 10 in six categories.

George Thomas in 23rd with 1,069 points (1999-03) and
