New Jersey City University women's basketball team 28-7 in the opening quarter and despite an evenly-played final three periods, the Scarlet Raptors defeated NJCU, 87-59, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game on December 3 inside the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (Charlie Brown Court).

In defeat for NJCU (3-4, 0-3 NJAC), junior guard
Aaliyah Saud (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) scored a game and season-high 21 points in 28 minutes on the floor, including 7-of-8 from the line. She scored in double figures for the seventh straight game to begin her Gothic Knight career.

Once-beaten Rutgers-Camden (6-1, 2-1 NJAC) led by as many as 36 en route to its second conference win of the season. Four Scarlet Raptors scored in double digits as
Gabby Greene and
Carla Racobaldo each achieved a double-double.

Greene scored a team-high 20 points, including 15 points from downtown (5-13 3FG), and dished out 11 assists in 38 minutes, while
Racobaldo tallied 18 points (8-14 FG) and grabbed 11 rebounds in Saturday's victory. She added four steals in 36 minutes.

Michelle Obasi shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor as she scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds in 21 minutes of play.
Fatimah Williams added 10 points (4-10 FG) and three assists and
Kirsten Flournoy added nine points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Shege Haxhaj (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) fell one point and one rebound short of her first double-double of the season as the junior center saw 21 minutes and shot 4-of-6 from the floor. Two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week and freshman point guard
Tu'ziah Hall (Greenville, N.C./Bannecker (NC)) saw limited playing time (23 minutes) due to early foul trouble when she picked up a personal foul and a technical foul, her third personal foul, simultaneously with 49 seconds left in the first quarter.
Hall scored six points and four rebounds.

Jazz Randall (Parsippany, N.J./West Orange) and senior forward
Ziyadah Williams (
Jersey City, N.J./University Academy Charter) each hauled in seven rebounds and scored eight and four points. Freshman
Tiana Hill (Brandywine, Md./Gwynn Park (Md.)) added eight points.

The Raptors shot 55.6 percent (10-16) from the floor in the first quarter and 48.6 percent (36-74) overall against NJCU. Rutgers-Camden held a 23-6 points off turnovers advantage despite only having five fewer turnovers than NJCU. The Scarlet Raptors scored 44 points in the paint and had a 16-4 margin on the fast break.

- Saud scored a season-high 21 points. Her previous season-high of 17 points was achieved twice this season against Wheaton College (Mass.) and Newbury College on November 18 and 19.
