#NJCUMGOLF Lists Third at Sage Fall Invitational

VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | The New Jersey City University men's golf team finished third of four teams on September 20 at the Sage Invitational at the Albany Country Club in Voorheesville, N.Y.
 
The Gothic Knights shot a +76 round of 364 on the par 72, 6,771-yard course that is widely considered to be one of the most difficult courses in the Capital District of New York State. NJCU was 10 strokes behind second place Johnson State College (+66, 354). SUNY Cobleskill easily won the team title at +45 (333). The host school, The Sage Colleges, was fourth (+122, 410).
 
Sophomore transfer Tyler White (Spring Lake, N.J./Long Branch) was the top NJCU finisher for the first time this fall, shooting a +16 round of 88, to finish seventh in the 19-man field. Junior Alexander Sill (Hurley, N.Y./Kingston) was eighth overall with a +18 (90).
 
Dave Albright of Johnson State took the individual medalist crown over SUNY Cobleskill's Nate Stanton with a par on the third playoff hole after each golfer tied at +8 (80).
 
UP NEXT:
On September 22, NJCU will host the College of Mount Saint Vincent and University of Valley Forge in a 2 p.m. tri-match at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, N.J.  NJCU will host an event for the third time this fall and the Knights have won 10 consecutive dual and tri matches including the last eight at home.
