Pete was a major force in the development of the soccer program at Jersey City State. Not only was Pete instrumental in forming the first soccer team at the college, he then went out and scored five goals in the five game abbreviated maiden season of 1959.  Pete was regarded as one of the top players in the conference throughout his three year career. “Pete had an assist on at least 70 percent of our goals,” commented Hall of Famer and former teammate John Downey.  In 1961, Pete scored 12 goals as Jersey City State won the NJSCAC championship. Pete was the recipient of the Alumni Association’s award for academic excellence and athletic achievement in 1961.
