Ben is another in the long line of basketball players to be named to the College’s Hall of Fame.  A teammate of charter member Charlie Brown, Ben was the other half of Coach Ollie Gelston’s “inside-outside” combo in the middle sixties. During his four year career, Ben started on teams that won four major championships; NAIA District 31 Christmas Title (1962); NJSCAC titles in 1964 and 1965; and the very prestigious NAIA District post-season title (1964) with two classic, heart-thumping, one point victories, earning a trip to Kansas City for the national tournament. The Gothics four year record was 72-28 and 32-8 within the state conference. Ben was named first team All-Conference in both 1964 and 1965, as well as second team All-State College Division in the same years.  A member of the 1,000 point club, Ben scored 1,024 points, eleventh on the all time list. He is also ranked among the top five in career rebounds with 899.
