Mike Jacobson was an outstanding defensive back for Gothic Knight teams which posted records of 5-3 (1970), 7-2 (1971), 8-1 (1972) and 9-1 (1973). He established a JCSC record of 16 career interceptions which still stands. His single-season record of seven interpretations, set in 1971, has only been equaled by Jacobson himself, who did it again in 1973. He was named to the All-NJ State College Athletic Conference (NJSCAC) first team in 1972 as the Gothic Knights shared the conference championship. Jacobson also returned punts and kickoffs for the Gothic Knights. He turned in a game-winning punt return for a touchdown versus Glassboro State in 1972 which helped JCSC gain a share of the NJSCAC title.  Jacobsen was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in both 1971 and 1972. He has served as an assistant and head football coach at Hoboken High School for 25 years (head coach from 1981-84). He joins his brother James who was inducted in 1990 as a cross country and track athlete and coach, as the only sibling duo in the JCSC Athletic Hall of Fame. Jacobson earned his bachelor of arts degree from JCSC in 1977 and currently teaches mathematics at Brandt Middle School in Hoboken. Married for 18 years, he and wife Nazira are the parents of two daughters, Tiffany and Erica, and reside in Weehawken.
