A four-year starter at JCSC, Frank was an All Conference centerfielder in his freshman and sophomore years (1962 and 1963) and led the Gothics to the school’s only New Jersey State Athletic Conference baseball championship in 1962 when he hit .350. Frank led off the championship game against Glassboro State with a homerun. He had a .285 career average at State but was also considered an exceptional defensive player in centerfield possessing a strong arm and good speed. He also saw action at third base and shortstop as a sophomore. He was team captain in his senior year. Frank was offered a professional contract by the New York Yankees after his freshman year but decided to stay in school. He also played two years on the men’s basketball team. Frank is currently a teacher in the Cliffside Park elementary school system.
